Practice Schedule

Boilermaker Aquatics offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of Boilermaker Aquatics to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Bronze D
The swimmers participating in the Bronze group typically range from the ages of 5 to 9 years old. This group’s primary emphasis is to develop those swimmers who are at the minimum skill level needed to join the team. The practices provide instruction on the proper stroke techniques for the four competitive strokes. These swimmers are just starting out on the team and will transition to the Bronze group when the required skills are developed.

Bronze
The swimmers participating in the Bronze group typically range from the ages of 6 to 12 years old. This groups primary emphasis is the teaching of the proper stroke and turn techniques for the four competitive strokes.  These swimmers are starting to transition from the instructional stage of swimming to the competitive stage which requires time to be spent on conditioning as well as instruction.

Bronze Elite
Bronze Elite is a small group of young but skilled swimmers. This group is targeted for 9-10 and 8 and under swimmers with multiple seasons of expierience. The group was designed to transistion young, highly skilled swimmers from Bronze to Silver. Bronze Elite swimmers must have several seasons of swim meets before joining the group, These swimmers often qualify for the Divisional meet during Short Course. This means that they might also end up on state relays occasionally.

 

Silver
The swimmers participating in the Silver group typically range from the ages of 8 to 13 years old. These swimmers are working primarily on their conditioning for competitive swimming with continued technique refinement to improve their times.

Gold
The swimmers participating in the Gold group typically range from the ages of 10 to 14 years old. These swimmers are working primarily on their conditioning for competitive swimming with continued technique refinement to improve their times.

Senior/High School
The swimmers participating in the Senior group are high school or college age. These swimmers are working on their conditioning for competitive swimming with continued technique refinement to improve their times.

Practice Schedule

·         Senior Team will begin practices Wed., August 19th. Senior practices end when High School Season begins. Senior swimmers will return at the conclusion of their High School season and ALL are welcome to train until Senior State (March 11th) No post season fees will be charged.

·         Age Group swimming starts the week of August 24th. NEW! All age group swimmers are welcome to train with their groups until Age Group State (March 18th. No post season fees will be charged!)
·          There will be no practice on the following dates: Monday, Sept. 7th - Labor day, November 26th and 27th for Thanksgiving, December 24 -26th, and December 31 and January 1st.
·         Please check the team website calendar for additional practice changes due to pool availability and high school swim meets. www.boilermakeraquatics.org
